Raimond Malolli

     Raimond began playing music at the age of six and continued for eight years with violin lessons until flute became his favorite instrument, when he started to study it in 1970 with a great professor, I. Spahiu, graduated from the central academy of Prague. Later he graduated as a flute soloist from the Academy of Fine Arts of Albania where he studied with a great professor, Gj. Shestani, who understudied with the internationally acclaimed flute virtuosos Platonov and Korniev at the Tchaikovsky Art Academy of Moscow. Raimond Malolli has many post-graduate studies in flute, music, and philosophy. He was the prime professor of flute and chamber music at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tirana, Albania, prime professor of flute and chamber music at the National Conservatories of Music of Chalandri, Ano Patisia of Athens, Greece. He has given many master classes in Albania, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, France, Germany, Luxemburg, and Austria. He has written many scientific works and given many seminars for the specialty of flute. 
    He was for many years chairman of the state commissions for national competitions. He has performed as flute soloist with major symphonic orchestras such as the Radio-Television, the Opera and Ballet, the Academy of Fine Arts of Albanian, L'orchestre des Jeuses de toute l'Europe in France, of Crete-Greece, and Philharmonic Orchestras of Albania, Greece, and Italy. Also he has been a leading flutist for many chamber music groups performing in many European countries such as Albania, Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Russia, China, and United States of America. He has made many recordings for the Radio-Television f Albania giving concerts as flute soloist on festivals, and television shows; recordings for movie soundtracks made by the company Kinostudio Shqiperia e Re; recordings for the hit CD “From Asia to Europe” made by the FM Records in Athens, Greece; and currently in the U.S. He has many TV appearances in major television channels in different countries such as Albanian (TVSH), Greece (EPT-3, ,MEGA CHANNEL), France, and Italy (RAI). He has appeared in many radio stations of Albania, Greece, France, and Italy. He has many articles from different newspapers such as the Albanian “Zeri I Poppullit,” “Drita,” “Perpara,” “Bashkimi,” the Greek “Rizospastis,” “Efimeris,” the French “Saumur,” the American “The Press-Enterprise,” “Californian,” “Fallbrook/Bonsall Village News,” of California, “Illyria” of New York.
    He has won numerous national and international awards and recognitions as a flute soloist such as the highest Albanian national award “Naim Frasheri,” equivalent to the President's Medal of Honor; Verdi Festival in Cyprus; awarded in the U.S. As “Crystal Sponsor 2002” from the Susan G. Komen's Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure of Inland Empire; from the City of Temecula for the memorial day of September 11, and as a great conductor for his orchestra performings for big Broadway Shows such as “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “The Music Man.”
He has collaborated as a soloist with famous international conductors such as Jehudy Menuhin and Pierre Dervaux of France, Ermir Krantja of Italy, Eno Koco of England, Giannis Tzortzakis, Nikiforos, Bevrakis, Mikis Theodorakis (Nobe Prize Winner), Manos Hatzidakis, M. Nikoloudis of Greece, Ribbs of Switzerland, Ruth Charloff, J.T. Atwood of U.S., R. Teqja, E. Dizdari, I. Erzeni, and F. Deda of Albania. 
    He has also collaborated with famous international artists such as Alain Marion, J. P. Rampal, R. and T. Papavrami, P. Gjezi, M. Gendron of France, S. Gazzelonni, A. Gashi of Italy, G. Leotsakos, S. Papazoglou, R. Ripo, V. Nina of Greece, L. Mousteri of Cyprus, Z. Ciko, I. Shehu, R. Radoja, N. Cashku, S. Shupo, E. Madhi, F. Jaho, of Albania, P. Gjezi of Spain, J. Papadhimitri, A. Simoni, G. Kamberi of Canada, A. and S. Rubinstein, R. Nava, J. McCullough, D. Parker, J. Sparkman, S. McCommas, B. Adams, S. Duncan, A. Otto-wolf, A. Walker, J. Masur, T. E. Cole of U.S.
Mr. Malolli has performed almost the entire flute repertoire from Pre-Classical, Baroque, Classical, Byzantine, Romantic, Modern, Contemporary music, Folk, Pop, Classic Jazz, and Blues.
    He has been a well-respected member of leading professional artistic organizations such as the Society of Writers and Artists of Albanian, National Theater of Opera and Ballet, Academy of Fine Arts, Albania, International Society of Contemporary Music-Albanian Section, Association of Hellenic Composers and Artists of Greece, A.F.M Local-47 Hollywood “Professional Musicians” of U.S and Canada.
    Mr. Malolli has been nominated as one of the top 1% best and extraordinary flutists of our times. Mr. Malolli's extraordinary tone quality and lyricism combined with his virtuous technical ability leaves every listener who has the privilege of hearing him perform, in awe of his genius.
